One of the many reasons to visit our beautiful region is to explore and enjoy our most famous export - Cognac.
The production of Cognac and its lesser known Pineau but also the local Charentais wines form the backbone of the Charente region with kilometres upon kilometres of stunning vineyards.
In Cognac and Jarnac and the surrounding areas, you will find the most famous Cognac houses known to most: Hennessy, Courvoisier, Hine, Martell, Remy Martin, Meukow , Croizet, Braasstad and many more. You can choose to book some amazing visits, with Hennessy, Couvoisier and Braastad being highlights.
We also recommend visiting the smaller lesser known but just as impressive family run Cognac houses. This is where you will learn about the real heart of this area. Many of these producers also offer local wines - les vins charentais, which are very good too.

They offer a fantastic 2 hour visit/ tasting (in French or English) and offer a range of Cognac, Pineau, red, white or rosé wines and recent yummy additions of various Cognac liquers.
