With a combination of exposed stone, white walls and decorated in tones of blue, greens, silver and gold, Charente is our 2 bed, 2 bathroom gite and will instantly remind you of the calm water of the river Charente or the sea .

Completely renovated in 2019, this is a breathtaking home from home. 95m2 in size and set out on the one ground floor level, enter into the double height open plan living/ dining area with chandelier.

With wooden parquet flooring throughout, the living area has exposed stone walls on 2 sides with a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar with high stools and long dining table with 6 chairs. Perfect for chatting over a glass of wine whilst preparing some great French food. Immediately off the living area, is your own private garden with table and chairs.

You also have your own private dining table and chairs in the front courtyard.

The lounge area has a lovely super comfy sofa from which you can enjoy French, International and English TV, DVDs. There is a choice of board and card games. A further offer is available in the covered barbecue area.

Leading off from the living area are the 2 large bedrooms with king size beds and ensuite bathrooms with Italian showers, double sink units and electric towel heaters. Each bed can be split into 2 large singles upon request. All bed linen, towels including pool towels and dressing gowns are provided including a hairdryer and toiletries in each bathroom.

During the gloriously hot Summer months, you can cool off inside as there are fans in the living area and all bedrooms.

If staying in the cooler months, there is central heating and also a gas wood effect burner.

Rates

Low season - 145 euros per night.

Mid / high season - 145 - 155 euros per night.

A peaceful and private little gem in the Charente region

We only need 1 word to describe our stay in 1854 Chassors: 'FANTASTIC'. Barbara & Kevin are the sweetest hosts. Helping you with everything they can. They give (good) tips for restaurants, visits,... 1854 Chassors is a quiet little gem you need to discover. The gite is decorated luxurious and is very spacious. Facilities: sheets and towels included, washing machine and dryer, welcome basket with Milk, coffee, wine, jam, cheese, baguette,... Pepper, salt, olive oil, dishwasher (and tablets), soap, shampoo, hairdryer, ... actually everything is there and you don't need to bring anything extra. The kids liked the pool, play area with soccerfield, petanque, ping pong, pooltable, movies (even in Dutch),... And the croissants you receive every morning (still warm) are delicious!
