Built in 1854 and set in 5 acres, this former Cognac distillery is the perfect getaway, whether for holiday with family or friends or whilst on business.

Our Gîtes

There are are two gîtes (holiday cottages) , situated in the front courtyard. Restored with many of the original features, they are individually designed and luxuriously furnished with a different colour theme/style.

Our Options

You are spoilt for choice in terms of activities whilst staying with us. From cognac and wine tasting to water activities on the Charente river, to historical site visits or simply exploring the area on our mountain bikes - your holiday will be one to remember. We are here to organise/ book anything on your behalf.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at 1854 Chassors. Barb and Kev were so welcoming, helpful & the place was fantastic.The house and grounds are unbelievable, we didn’t want to leave. If you are trying to decide where to stay, just book it, you won’t regret it.(Ciara, Sept 23, Airbnb)
